D. Scott Luttrell

Founder & Chairman

Mr. D. Scott Luttrell is Founder and Chairman of LCM Group, an investment firm he led as CEO for 35 years.

After a 10-year investment career as a member and independent trader of financial market futures, global interest rates, and foreign exchange markets at the Chicago Board of Trade, Mr. Luttrell founded LCM Group in 1988 out of his desire to focus on the growing opportunities in the rapidly expanding alternative investment sector. At LCM Group, Mr. Luttrell launched his first hedge fund, The Everest Fund, a global fixed income and foreign exchange focused investment fund that he merged with Caxton Associates in 1991. At Caxton, Mr. Luttrell led the firm’s global fixed income group.

Mr. Luttrell served for 12 years on the Board of Directors of Florida Bank Group, Inc., a Federal Reserve regulated bank holding company, until its sale to IberiaBank (IBKC: NASDAQ) and served for 14 years on the Board of Directors of Cbeyond, Inc. (CBEY:NASDAQ) prior to its sale to private company Birch Communications. He also served eight years on the Board of Trustees and was Chairman of the Investment Committee for the YMCA Retirement Fund, an $8 billion retirement fund serving the employees of the YMCA.

Mr. Luttrell currently serves as Chairman of East-West Ministries and on the Board of Directors of HOI (Helping Others Internationally). Mr. Luttrell also currently serves on several private company Board of Directors including New Leaf Publishing Group, Indigena Holdings, and several private equity firms LP or advisory committees. Mr. Luttrell is Founder and Trustee of The Light Foundation.

Mr. Luttrell received his degree in Business Administration/Finance in 1977 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In 2001, Mr. Luttrell attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program in Corporate Governance.

Mr. Luttrell and his wife have been married 46 years and have two adult children and three grandchildren.

David S. Luttrell

CEO & CIO

David Luttrell is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of LCM Group. In this role, he is responsible for all firm activities, including executive leadership, investment strategy, portfolio performance, and team development. Previously, David was Chief Investment Officer, leading all portfolio team due diligence and decision-making, and was also previously a Managing Director who expanded the firm’s reach and strategy implementation in direct private equity and venture capital investing.

Prior to LCM, David served as Senior Economic Analyst and Special Assistant to President Richard Fisher at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and worked in the Private Equity/Venture Capital Group at Makena Capital (Menlo Park, CA) and the Financial Institutions Group at state-owned global investment company Temasek Holdings (Singapore).

David serves on several for-profit portfolio company and non-profit ministry Boards. Some of his favorites include serving as a Trustee of grant-making organization, The Light Foundation, and as a Board member of Generous Giving. He also serves as Board Chair of savings group and evangelism ministry, Seed Effect, and is a Co-Founder of Dallas-based Christian stewardship ministry, Ambassadors Club. David is passionate about biblical stewardship and finding ways to invest in human flourishing.

David earned an M.B.A. degree from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. He also earned an undergraduate B.S. in Economics and B.B.A. in Finance with a concentration in Alternative Assets from Southern Methodist University.


Michael K. Ake, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Michael Ake provides senior level oversight and management for LCM Group’s financial reporting and controls, tax planning and compliance, family entity management, and investment portfolio support.  Prior to joining LCM, Michael served eleven years in senior corporate finance roles including six years as Director of Operations and Logistics Finance at Cott Corporation and five years at Harris Corporation where he served as Tax Director of the Electronic Systems and Semiconductor Sectors.

Prior to joining Harris Corporation, Michael spent eight years in public accounting with Arthur Anderson LLP. Michael earned a BS in Accounting and a Masters of Accounting in 1986 from University of Florida. Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounting.

J. Jett Robertson, CPA

Director - Investments

Mr. Jett Robertson joined LCM Group in 2018. He provides deal sourcing, coordination, due diligence, and leadership for portfolio monitoring and analysis of LCM’s investment activities. He also observes several portfolio company Boards on behalf of the LCM portfolio team.

Jett began his career in public accounting as an audit associate focused within the Asset Management Group at KPMG LLP. He earned a B.B.A. in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy from Baylor University, where he was a Carr P. Collins Scholar. Jett is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.


Louis A. Perrine, CFA

Director - Finance

Mr. Louis Perrine provides leadership of LCM's real estate activities including deal sourcing, underwriting, and due diligence. In addition, he provides direct support on financial reporting, controls, tax planning, and portfolio monitoring. Louis rejoined LCM in 2024 after spending 8 years working as Director of Investments at Arrow Capital, a real estate development company and affiliate of LCM. Prior to Arrow, he spent the first 7 years of his career here at LCM, serving as Senior Portfolio Analyst of the firm's hedge fund offerings and assisting with the firm's trading activities across public equities and futures markets.

Louis earned a B.A. in Finance & Accounting from the University of South Florida and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.


Jimmie Fields

Associate

Mr. Jimmie Fields joined LCM Group in 2022. He provides portfolio monitoring, due diligence, and analysis support for LCM’s investment efforts. Previously, Jimmie worked as an Analyst in Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Analytics group, where he focused on growth strategy and operational enhancement.

Jimmie graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in Business Honors and Finance and a minor in Psychology.


Arithia Smith Franklin

Executive Assistant and Office Manager

Ms. Arithia Franklin joined LCM Group in 2023. She supports LCM’s senior management team including its CEO, CIO and CFO. She also manages the daily activity of the office and serves as Office Manager.

Arithia brings 25+ years of Customer Care experience to LCM Group. In her previous role, Arithia served as an Executive Assistant/Patient Advocate to the COO of a highly regarded preventative healthcare company.

Arithia is a U.S. Army veteran and proud mom of 2 children. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her two grandsons.
